In August 2007, WinterSown applied to the USDA to obtain seeds of tomatoes sourced from cold climates. We received varieties originally from countries in Europe and Asia. Half were winter sown in in early March 2008. The remaining half were winter sowin in early March 2009. We've been delighted with the germination of the varieties which began in late March and continued to the end of the May.
