Climbing Rose "Blaze of Glory" opens dozens of warm, coral-orange, lightly musk-scented flowers on twelve foot long stems. It flowers all Summer, deadheading can increase bloom period. In the WinterSown Gardens, "Blaze of Glory" is grown against an old wooden stockade fence, the combination of orange blooms, dark glossy green foliage, and greying, sun-bleached wood is very appealing. All climbing roses like full sun and amended soil, water during drought. This rose has some thorns, wear heavy gloves when trellising or tying to a fence. "Blaze of Glory" is susceptible to powdery mildew and blackspot, treat as needed. Increase by rooting softwood cuttings.
