This lovely vine is usually grown as an annual but is perennial in zones nine and warmer, with a heavy mulch for protection in Winter it may come back from its roots in zones eight and seven--but that is "iffy". Asarina grows to about six or seven feet and needs a small trellis to climb on, an inexpensive tomato cage will do. Climbing snapdragon prefers full sun with its roots shaded, amended and well draining soil is best, water during drought. Feed lightly or you'll get lots of vine with few flowers. Increase by seed or rooted softwood cuttings.
