There is a problem with one of the plants. The top half is wilting.
It is surrounded by healthy plants. If it doesn't recover it will be culled.
Eight days later--the transplant is still failing to thrive.
The failing transplant is removed with a shovel. The stem is rubbery.

Slightly different appearance but exactly the same taste.
What's that sideways crack 'Cracking' can occur during hot and rainy weather following a dry period; the inside of the tomato grows faster than the outside causing the tomato to crack. Learn More: Skin Color
One of the Huang Se Chieh plants has fruits with gold skins, all the rest of the plants have fruits with clear skin giving them a pale, moon-yellow color. The golden-skinned plant grew only one large fruit seen here in the photos, all the rest were similar in size to the moon-yellow tomatoes.

This tasty Chinese tomato suprised us when one of the plants ripened with gold-skin, all the rest were clear skin and a pretty pale, moon-yellow. Fruits are two to three inches and develop a rose blush when fully ripe. Huang Se Chieh, 'Gold' or 'Moon Yellow', are both fine fresh or cooked
